Mardi Himal Trek

Nepal

About the trip

Altitude: 4500m
Best Season: Autumn/Spring

The Annapurna Region is the largest conservation area in Nepal covering 7629 sq. kilometre. This stunning area contains many world class treks including the famous Annapurna Base Camp trek and the Annapurna Circuit however in our opinion the Mardi Himal trek is equally as impressive.

This newly opened trekking destination begins one hour drive from the stunning city of Pokhara. Pokhara is an incredible destination in itself, sat next to a beautiful lake you can sit in the many quaint cafes and restaurant whilst taking in breath-taking views of some giant Himalayan peaks. This trek doesn't require prior high altitude trekking experience but physical fitness is required and due to new open trails this route is also less crowed.

The trek begins through typical Gurung villages where you will have a chance to experience the local hospitality. Walk through rice terraces, rhododendron forests, pine forests.

The snow-caped breath-taking mountains are clearly visible from this route such as the Annapurna ranges, Fishtail (Machhapuchre), Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung himal and Mardi Himal.
